The role:

As part of our expansion efforts, GLS is looking for an experienced National Accounts Coordinator to join our top-notch National Accounts Sales team. This position will report to the Director of National Accounts with a reporting line to the VP of Sales & Marketing, with duties that are diverse and multi-faceted.

The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, demonstrate superior flexibility, and feel comfortable interacting with customers and colleagues at all levels. This individual will assist with customer account management activities, which may at times entail researching and troubleshooting issues, developing written correspondence, and/or speaking directly with customers.


  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective action plans when required
  • Perform trend analysis to provide strategic and actionable business insights that enable executive data-driven decisions and reduce the risk of customer churn
  • Identify and advocate for robust solutions to recurring issues that affect our customers; partner with technology teams to prioritize enhancements when appropriate
  • Facilitate operational reporting for monthly/quarterly business reviews for assigned focus accounts


At a minimum, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Two years' experience supporting customers with operational and technical issues, including developing project plans and status reporting
  • Experience with SalesForce and Microsoft Office products; advanced Excel proficiency including the ability to work with pivot tables, experience using VLOOKUP and expertise in analyzing multiple lines of data

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and/or parcel experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage difficult customer conversations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to build relationships and influence others
  • A high degree of comfort operating with minimal guidance and structure in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
