Regional HR Business Partner

The Regional HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with all assigned locations and be the face of the HR department. This position will travel regularly to all assigned locations to provide training and development, interact with employees and make presentations as assigned. The Regional HR Business Partner will be the go to person to guide, train and assist all operations managers and supervisors on the execution of policies, procedures to ensure compliance of federal, state and local laws, support to management in the areas of employee relations, and identify training opportunities. You will perform your duties with integrity, professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and lead by example. Positive communication, building trust with employees and demonstrating Company Values with all interactions. A core responsibility is to drive positive employee engagement, investigate concerns and implement best practices in conjunction with another Regional HR Business Partner. Under the direction of the Sr. Human Resource Manager, the HR Business Partner applies skill in selection/retention and employee relations techniques, a working knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures and Federal and state laws regarding employment practices in order to support the organization. Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time with overnight stays required as business needs dictate.
What you'll do

  • Model and promote positive employee engagement, Company Values and behaviors
  • Guide, train and direct business partners on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal guidance (EEO, ADA, Federal and State Leave Laws, etc.).
  • Lead and support the execution of annual HR processes such as performance management, annual performance reviews, employee survey, and compensation reviews.
  • Identify performance concerns and opportunities to identify root cause and offer effective solutions.
  • Support and lead, where appropriate, the investigation process of medium and high-risk concerns, analyzing organizational health issues, consulting on solutions/follow up
  • Analyze, benchmark and react, where applicable, to financial, operational and HR metrics to drive results

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues including employee investigations
  • Partners with operations leadership on new business start-up and peak season staffing plans
  • Develops and leads supervisory and management training specific to HR-related topics
  • Facilitates employee engagement meetings and records results; develops strategies with operations partners to address critical and recurrent issues
  • Leads and/or participates in company-wide projects as assigned
  • Assist in development and facilitation of management training programs to include: sexual harassment, performance management, and create a new hire orientation process.
  • Other duties as required and assigned


  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) ~ Preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business-facing or field HR role (i.e., HR business partner or HR Business Partner), at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work, day, evening and overnight hours as business needs dictate
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • HR Professional Certification ~ Preferred
  • Experience providing HR support in a logistics environment ~ Preferred
  • Experience balancing virtual and in-person HR support
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively challenge, influence and build collaborative relationships, to exemplify direct, open, honest behaviors, and to influence these qualities in others
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time with overnight stays required as business needs dictate ~ Required
  • Ability to travel extensively. Must be able to obtain a valid Drivers' license and the ability to travel by vehicle or air ~ Required
  • Ability to be a team member in a regional setting and have strong leadership ability.
